Natural Background Radiation - Rayonnement naturel de fond

Aujourd’hui j'ai capturé la radiation naturelle de fond.  Le capteur a passé la journée sur le rebord de la fenêtre pointé vers le ciel.  Vers la fin, j'ai approché à 2 cm un contenant de "NoSalt" qui contient un isotope du potassium K-40.  Ceci explique le pic que l'on voit.

La moyenne du fond est environ de 10,5 uRem/hr.  Ceci nous donne après conversion 0.000105 milli Sieverts/hr ou 0,105 uSv/hr, ce qu'indique le capteur en moyenne.  Donc pour 24h x 365 jours = 0,9 mSv.  Ce qui est dans la plage que wikipedia indique.

Today I captured the natural radiation background. The sensor has passed the day on the window ledge pointing skyward.  Towards the end, I approached a container of "NoSalt" at 2 cm which contains an isotope of potassium K-40.  This explains the peak we see.

The average background is about 10.5 uRem / hr.  This gives us 0.000105 milli Sieverts / hr after conversion or 0.105 uSv / hr, as indicated by the sensor on average.  So for 24 hours x 365 days = 0.9 mSv. Which is within the range that wikipedia says.
